North’s do their own thing for 09

5 May 2009

Familiar Heritage regulars Robin and Zoe North have acquired a brace of new cars which they debuted at Brands Hatch. Previously seen sharing a Ford Mustang, the father and daughter combo now has a Ford Falcon and Sunbeam Tiger respectively.

Both cars were built and run by the Staffordshire based Racemec outfit.

Robin’s FIA specification car developed engine problems which curtailed an outing on Sunday, but Zoe thoroughly enjoyed her new 500bhp steed. ‘It’s certainly different from the Mustang, it feels more of race car’ she said of the car dubbed Tigress in view of its female driver. Both are developing their cars throughout 2009 in readiness for a full campaign next year.
