Hathaway joins Hammond
1 May 2008

Graham Hathaway raced an American car for the first time in his 40-year career when he shared the Chevrolet Camaro of Alec Hammond in the opening Heritage GT races at Donington Park recently.
The former BTCC racer is now preparing the car and will partner Hammond throughout the HGT season. "I'd never raced a Camaro, or any American car, before," said Hathaway. "I started competing in 1968 in the Players No6 Autocross Championship, and I've been racing ever since," said Hathaway.
As well as the Camaro, Graham Hathaway Racing is also tending Hammond's Lotus 23B, which he will race in various sports-racing events this year despite an early season engine failure at Mugello in Italy.
"There's more to come with the Camaro yet," said Hathaway after they took a sixth and a seventh place at Donington. They will continue their HGT season at Brands Hatch this weekend, Hathaway's home track.
