Aston Martin DBS V8 No. 40

Aston Martin DBS V8 1971 5340cc
Car was built and is prepared by Rikki Cann
Very few mods, the main modification has been the change of the brakes - last year the car ran on the original brakes and at full weight (1650kg) was an ‘interesting’ start to racing. “Brake”. “Brake!”. “Oh sh…..” Was abandoned part way through a major bodywork repair. I bought the car as seen and Rikki Cann finished the repair, rebuilt the engine and prepared it for racing by me as an AMOC Class C1 car. Having bought a very fast and rare Aston in 2006 I decided to take up racing so I could feed a need for speed off the public road. To me there is nothing like the sight and sound of an Aston Martin being raced, and I’m so lucky to have Rikki and Joe Cann as friends enabling me to do this. Always loved Aston Martins (I have three and am ‘negotiating’ with my lovely wife Penny for the fourth!). Most of the time is spent either filling up at the fuel station or with my kids; Laura, Alice and Matthew.
