Mike started racing in 1978 with a variety of 1litre Hillman Imps before moving onto Clubman Sports Cars in 1981 where he won the Oceanair Clubmans Championship in 1984. Clubman Sports gave way to the Kit Car and Special Championship where in 1986 he won the 1600 -2000ltr class with a Westfield 11 replica.
A return to the Clubman Sports series in 1997 led him to design a build his own car, the Dart S1600 which was successfully campaigned between 2000 and 2003.
2004 required a change in driving style when Mike took to high speed oval racing in the SCSA series for American Stock Cars based at Rockingham and was runner up in the 2006 championship.
Mike has since formed Classic World Racing Ltd which provides race preparation and engineering services for a variety of 60’s and 70’s Sports & GT cars, the Jaguar he races being one.
Mike lives in Ardens Grafton Nr Stratford upon Avon, is married to Bronwen and has 2 teenage daughters Emily and Philippa.
