Daimler SP20   N0.90

Piers Townsend

Chartered Accountant from Shepreth (Cambs.) 1960s raced a variety of cars occasionally. 1990s raced MGBs continuously. MGCC SCV8 Class Championship win otherwise too few seasonal trophies to mention. Car is Appendix K FIA (that means standard), engine is FIA plus Webers and less restrictive Exhaust manifolds.

Interesting facts

I claim the Accountants Amendment - but I did compete against John McClay's SP250 when I raced the Morgan +4 SLR now owned by Keith Ahlers (and won the class at Crystal Palace).Other cars raced in the 1960's included a 4.5 litre Daimler Cortina and a Jim Russell Lotus FJ.

Hobbies

Motor racing, Looking for money, Family (Not necessarily in that order).

History of car

Road car converted by me. Has since appeared at Goodwood and Brands WTCC meeting (amongst others). The car is a work in progress and this will be the first season on Webers so performance is TBA.

Chris Conoley

Have been racing on and off for 40 years in all sorts of saloons and sports cars. For the past 20 years I have raced mainly historic sports cars.
I've won the TR Register championship in it's former glory. I've won the Spa six hour race twice (95 & 96) and many other long distance historic races in the late 90's.
I'm the senior partner at Mass Racing Developments where we build and test competition engines. Apart from a brief spell in New Zealand I have spent most of my working life in east anglia. I live in Little Gransden with my wife, Jane who is a retired rally co driver but a very active partner in the business.
