Austin Healey: Sebring Sprite

Robert Morris and Paul Ringer will be jointly campaigning an Austin Healey Sebring Sprite in this year's Heritage Grand Touring Car Challenge Series. The car is being built by Melchester Classics in collaboration with part owner Mike Youles and the maintenance and running of the car will also be in the hands of the Melchester Classics team.

Robert Morris

Rob from Beckenham, Kent has been competing competitively in motorsport since the age of 8 years old. In that same year won the formula 6 Cadet karting championship. Also Rob competed in the debut year of Champions of the Future alongside Gary Paffett, Lewis Hamilton and Michael Conway before enjoying moderate success in the British Super One karting championship.

2006 saw the first year in sports car racing for 22 year old Rob in a Radical Clubsport, racing in the Semsec Challenge scoring three podiums and a win. Rob as a day job is an apprentice electrician.

Paul Ringer

Paul Ringer, a 26 year old IT technician from Kent has had a very successful racing career to date. Having competed in karting since the age of 9 he has managed to excel in every class he has competed in, having won numerous races, 10 club championships and many successful seasons in Super One. The most prestigious of which was finishing 3rd overall in the Junior Yamaha series against some very stiff competition including Gary Paffett, James Brown and Luke Hines.

2006 saw Paul compete his first full year of car racing, competing in a Radical Clubsport in the SEMSEC championship along with his fellow team mates. Yet again he managed to shine and win races.
