Bob Godbold
Bob is a technical support specialist for BT.
He started competing at the end of 1995 in an Alfa Romeo AlfaSud Sprint in the Alfa Romeo Championship.
In 1997 Bob decided to move up into Class B with an Alfa Romeo 33. From 1998 to 2006 Bob competed in the Alta Romeo championship getting numerous race and class wins.
Reliability gremlins have always meant Bob had to drop races and has finished a total of 4 seasons on the trot as second in class in the championship.
Class lap records have been set at numerous circuits with 2 still standing at Knockhill and Spa.
Bob's most memorable moment was a 'Lights to Flag' victory at Brands Hatch in 2003.
Bob's worst moment, albeit equally as memorable, took place at Castle Combe when the car caught fire during a race. By stopping at a marshal's post and prompt action from the marshal's, minimal damage
to the car took place. Not to be recommended though. When not racing, Bob Loves playing golf and watching all forms of motor sport, traveling to southern Spain Visiting family and taking in the local wine and cuisine.
Anthony Matthews
Antony is a Waste Management Company Manager.
Tony first raced 20 years ago in a Mallock with limited success.
Tony decided to resurrect his motor racing career 7 years ago by campaigning an Alfa Romeo 33 in the Alfa Romeo Championship.
At the end of 2002 Tony achieved a top 3 finish in the Alfa Romeo 1 hour endurance race at Brands Hatch. He also scooped the 'Driver of the day' award after an impressive drive through the field.
In 2003 and 2004 lack of track time due to work commitments meant Tony's outings were minimal but he did manage a couple of Class podiums.
In 2005 Tony decided to commit to a full season and this started to pay dividends. By the second half of the season his pace was improving and he went on to take class wins and class fastest laps.
At the end of the 2005 campaign he was a solid 2nd in class.
In 2006 Tony made a promising start, taking 2 class wins and was leading the Class championship when he was caught up in a major, accident that resulted in his car being written off. End of championship.
